As a mark of respect for the memory of Sanitation Worker Brian Dunn, who died in the line of duty due to a medical incident, all flags shall be lowered to half-staff immediately and until the date of interment by order of the Mayor of the City of New York, Zohran K. Mamdani.
Brian Dunn worked for DSNY for the past two years, most recently on the Bronx 5 (University Heights area) route.
A notice will follow to advise the date when all flags will resume full-staff positions.
This includes all flags – the American flag, the New York State and City flags, and the POW-MIA flag – on all City buildings and stationary flagstaffs throughout the five boroughs.
