As a mark of respect for the memory of those who tragically lost their lives 24 years ago in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, by order of the Mayor of the City of New York, Eric Adams, all flags shall be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Flags will resume full-staff position at sunset on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
This includes all flags – the American flag, the New York State and City flags, and the POW-MIA flag – on all City buildings, as well as stationary flagstaffs throughout the five boroughs.
