Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah takes place on Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13.

All public schools and government offices (including the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), courts, and post offices) will be open during their normal hours. There will be mail delivery.

Alternate Side Parking (street cleaning) rules are:

In effect on Friday, September 11
Suspended on Saturday, September 12

All other parking regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.

Trash, recycling and compost collection follow a regular schedule.

All NYC Public Schools are open on Friday, September 11.

P311 (Parent Support Hotline) and Family Welcome Centers, including enrollment centers, are also open.

The Staten Island Ferry runs on a normal schedule.

All branches of the City's Public Library systems are open.
